The Institute for Spatial Conceptions and Fundamentals of Design is part of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Stuttgart. Today, the Institute is divided into the Institute for Spatial Conception and Fundamentals of Design (IRGE) and the
Department of Building Theory (GEN). Additionally, the Institute hosts the Stuttgart Change Labs.
